AtkinsRéalis is seeking a fully qualified Structural Engineer for our Vancouver civil group.

Location – Vancouver (BC)

Your role within the team?

  • Perform engineering work following AtkinsRéalis QA programs, and applicable codes, standards, and regulation requirements.
  • Involved in detailed design of structural systems involving steel, reinforcing concrete, or masonry elements.
  • Perform structural and seismic analysis including both static and dynamic analysis, and produce analysis report.
  • Prepare technical documents, such as: engineering drawings, change paper markups, calculations, design/analysis reports, design requirements, design guides, bill of materials, technical specifications, etc.
  • Provide technical guidance and instruction to Designers/Drafters.
  • Perform field walkdowns during different design phases as required.
  • Complete the assigned scopes or tasks within given budget and schedule, and in good quality.

The ideal candidate:

  • Civil-structural engineer with minimum 3 years of experience focused on steel and reinforced concrete design.
  • Eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of British Columbia.
  • General knowledge of National Building Code, and applicable CSA standards, other applicable industrial standards or regulations.
  • Shall have fundamental technical knowledge to resolve engineering issues or technical problems.
  • Shall have excellent communication and technical writing skills.

Compensation Range:

Expected compensation for this role is between $71,300 - $118,800 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, location, and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
