Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer, Esbjerg.

The Role

Within our Engineering and Consulting (E&C) UK & Europe business, the Esbjerg operation is an important part of the link into the Danish offshore sector and clients, and an important part of growth and diversification plans within mainland Europe.  The team is currently a multi-discipline team supporting mainly Oil & Gas clients in engineering consultancy and modifications & upgrades, but with intent to grow into other Energy sectors, especially Offshore Wind.  The Esbjerg operation also acts as a conduit for specialist work that is carried out by other parts of the Energy business, and draws in resources from this wider business to execute work locally.

As we make progress with our Energy mission to make a difference by improving lives through safer, cleaner, smarter energy we are seeking a Graduate Electrical or Instrumentation Engineer (or equivalent) with enthusiasm and energy as part of our existing Electrical & Instrumentation team. As part of our Electrical & Instrumentation team there will be great opportunities to develop technical skills and capabilities in the offshore industries and to be involved in delivering successful projects to our clients where we are striving to meet the constantly evolving needs of the energy sector.

Within this role, you will learn to have a focus on delivery of technical engineering work, including electrical and instrumentation design and calculations. As part of the team there will be opportunity to assist with winning work, engaging with clients and developing relationships.  Our multidisciplinary team carries out many projects that involve interaction across disciplines and there are great opportunities to interact with the rest of the E&C business in the UK and across the globe. 

The Person

You will have the drive to learn and develop skill sets in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering. You will have good verbal and written communication skills.  You will be passionate about delivering safe, smart solutions and services to our clients.

The ideal candidate will be excited to be involved in:

• E&I design, down to termination level
• E&I input to CFI packages (technical description, equipment specification, drawings, etc.) 
• Working with Process and Piping engineers in multi-discipline projects
• Normally working in small projects, often running in parallel 
• Instrumentation hook-up drawings using Inventor


The following is also desirable:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering / Technical Manager Offshore / Maskinmester
