We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer, the role is based in KSA and would report into the Design Manager.

As a provider of multi disciplined technical services to the built environment, Atkins Middle East is committed to design excellence in the delivery of first class solutions which combine innovation, imagination and best practice.

Atkins has been commissioned to embed a Construction Project Management Team working on infrastructure programmes into a key client’s office and organisation based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The client operates within the Defence Sector on a variety of construction projects. The team is responsible for managing the client’s construction programme including the appointment of designers and contractors, undertaking concept design and master planning activities, reviewing, reporting and auditing consultants’ and subcontractors’ submissions.

Requirements

 

Technical Competencies

Essential

Degree in Electrical Engineering from reputable university.

Chartered or working towards chartership with at least 5 years post-graduate experience.

Good all round experience from front end to delivery.

Good understanding of BS, IEC and NFPA Codes.

Client facing experience.

Strong stakeholder management skills.

Experienced in building services.

Experienced in MV & LV networks, RMU units.

Experienced in electrical power calculations e.g. cable sizing, short circuit, voltage drop, UPS sizing etc.

 

Preferred

Experience on data centers and military infrastructure.

Good understanding of Middle East Building Codes, SBC in particular.

Middle East Experience.

AutoCAD.

Site experience.

Design and Build contracts experience.

Testing & commissioning experience.

 

Behavioral Competencies

Essential

Assists the Lead Electrical Engineer on technical matters in core discipline.

The right candidates would be pragmatic, intuitive, and well organized.

Will work as a member of a team and be expected to contribute to team performance and demonstrate initiative

Must be able balance time and quality and work to tight deadlines

Keep calm under pressure
