SNC-Lavalin Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Architecture Team in Austin, TX as an Entry-Level Architectural Designer.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Under supervision, performs entry-level architectural assignments.

JOB DUTIES

Applies standard techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of diversified architectural tasks requiring analysis, deductive reasoning, and knowledge of architecture, as obtained through a bachelor's degree program and on-the job training.
Performs work which regularly requires analysis and deductive reasoning.
Duties typically involve conventional design and plans to carry out diversified projects or phases of a single project with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents. Focus will be on construction documents.
Review, respond to, and accept shop drawings, material submittals, and design related questions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Architecture. Minimal experience is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Knowledge of Revit required.
Knowledge of architectural practice, building construction, documentation, and detailing.
Experience with construction documents is a plus.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop technical writing, computer, and communication skills.
AutoCAD experience is a plus.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS

No professional registration is needed.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

As the successful candidate will be providing services on a federal contract, you must be a US citizen to apply for this position.
In the future, you will be required to pass a federal background check as you may be providing services on a federal contract.
Ability to travel is a requirement; open to extended deployment is a plus.
