Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Melbourne, FL Aviation Group as a Entry-Level Aviation Planner. Atkins’ Aviation group is looking for a candidate to support domestic and international aviation planning projects and assignments.


MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE:


Under supervision, candidate will perform routine planning assignments while developing professional proficiency.

Planning work will be related to aviation projects including; Airport Master Plans, Airport Layout Plans, Aircraft Parking Layouts, Feasibility studies, On demand aviation specific technical analysis.

Generally applies standard planning techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of somewhat diversified planning tasks requiring the use of analysis interpretation, and deductive reasoning.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in planning, aviation, or related Fields is preferred.

Practical Experience (Internship or Professional) is preferred.

Good interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in groups and complete assigned tasks independently.

Strong verbal & written Communication.

AutoCAD experience is required.

MS Word – Required.

Excel – Required.

PowerPoint – Required.

Required - Knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars (AC’s), Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s), Federal Aviation Administration Policies and Airport Planning Standards.

GIS knowledge and experience – Desirable.

Occasional travel will be required.
