Atkins is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our Orlando team as a Entry-Level HVAC Engineer with minimal experience.

Under supervision, performs routine engineering work while developing professional proficiency. On design assignments, works to learn how to clearly convey the design intent through engineering drawings and specifications. On assignments involving investigations and planning, works to learn the fundamentals of engineering processes and to apply them successfully to operating systems. On assignments involving construction activities, works to develop an understanding of construction methods and the translation of engineering drawings and specifications into the constructed product. Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct.


Job Details:

Generally applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out a sequence of somewhat diversified tasks requiring the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning. Apply design skills to layout, size and draw in Revit duct and piping systems. Take sketches prepared by senior engineers, interpret the information on the sketch and transfer the information from the sketch to a Revit drawing. Other engineering and design tasks will be assigned as opportunities arise.

Qualifications:

This position requires out of state travel. Travel may consume approximately 40% - 50% of the on-job time. The ability to travel for up to three weeks per assignment may be necessary 

Good interpersonal skills and capable of developing technical writing, and communications skills. 

Working knowledge of the following software is mandatory Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Working knowledge of the following software is beneficial but not mandatory: Newforma and Bluebeam, Trane Trace, Revit and AutoCAD.


Education and Experience: 

B.S. in Engineering. Minimal experience is required of incumbents with a Bachelor's Degree in a branch of Engineering directly related to hiring discipline; no experience required with a Master's degree.
