Atkins seeks an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our team in Orlando, Florida as an Entry-Level Civil Engineer (Pavement) with 1-3 yeas of experience. The Asset Management group of Atkins operates a Mobile Asset Collection Vehicle that collects infrastructure assets, pavement condition, and above-ground utilities assets. who is familiar with Infrastructure Asset & Pavement Management.


Job Duties:

Responsible for analyzing asset and pavement condition information, pavement performance data, materials testing, and climatic data. Tasks will also include assisting Project Managers, with data analysis, Quality Control/Assurance of research quality data, and report writing.

Responsible for organizing your work in the office and detailed project record keeping.


Qualifications:

An understanding of pavement engineering and asset management and more specifically pavement materials and pavement assessment procedures is preferred.

Familiarity MicroPaver, VUEWorks, Cartegraph PavementView and StreetSaver.

Applicants must be familiar with GIS analysis and have some working knowledge of the ESRI GIS software suite.

E.I. is highly preferred.

In addition, respondent will demonstrate a strong working proficiency with the windows operating system, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel. Oracle and SQL knowledge would be an asset.

Applicants must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.

Applicants must have the ability to organize, prioritize, set and adjust schedules for independent challenging work, and available transportation for travel purposes.

A sound technical background and willingness to take on a diversity of tasks.

This position may also involve some travel to locations throughout the United States.


Education and Experience:

B.S. in Engineering. Minimal experience is required of incumbents with a Bachelor's Degree in a branch of Engineering directly related to hiring discipline (Civil Engineering); no experience required with a Master's degree.
