SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Tampa, FL Water Resources/Drainage Group as a Entry-Level Water Resources Engineer.


A strong candidate for this role will assist engineers in roadway design for FDOT and municipal projects. Experience in MicroStation or AutoCAD is a plus.


Assists in roadway drainage design which includes storm drain systems, pond design, culvert analysis and bridge hydraulic analysis.

Prepare cost estimates and technical reports and memorandums.

May coordinate work with other engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline, and with support services staff.

May perform other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.


B.S. in Civil Engineering. Minimal experience is required of incumbents with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; no experience required with a Master's degree.


Good technical writing, computer, communication and organization/planning skills are required.

Experience and familiarity with the following programs and methodology is a plus: MicroStation, Geopak Drainage, InRoads, AutoCAD, Civil3D and/or HEC-RAS.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Familiarity with FDOT roadway drainage design experience.


Registered EI or EIT.
