SNC-Lavalin Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Ft. Lauderdale, Florida Eco Sciences East Group as a Environmental/GIS Scientist.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Under supervision, applies technical professional proficiency to the investigation of scientific problems and the coordination of related project activities; may lead a section of a laboratory or analytical group.

JOB DUTIES

Performs work which involves conventional methods and requires the use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning to carry out diversified projects or phases of a single project.
Provide technical expertise in Geographic Information Systems technology to clients, users, and teammates.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

B.S./B.A. or M.S. in a field of Science to commensurate with hiring discipline. This level may be achieved by Scientists with minimum three years' experience since Bachelor's degree or two years' experience with Master's degree; typical incumbent has five years' experience.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, technical writing, computer and communication skills.
Geographic Information System (GIS) experience required.
