Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carry out environmental management consultancy services related to the area of academic qualification.
  • Perform project management and coordination roles related to the consultancy services to ensure quality of work and timely delivery of projects.
  • Carry out Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) on assignments and ensure the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) is adhered to on projects
  • Prepare and/or review project reports and documents
  • Prepare and manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Prepare and administer project tender and contract documents.
  • Prepare bid documents for consultancy work and assist in carrying out contract negotiations

Qualifications

Academic

  • Masters Degree in Environmental Studies or related discipline

    Professional

  • Must be Registered with the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) as a Lead Expert
  • Must have a valid practicing license from NEMA as a Lead Expert.
  • Must be a Member of Environment Institute of Kenya

    Required Experience

  • Must have a minimum 8 years’ experience in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, Audit and other related services

    Relevant Skills

  • Use of computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and Ms Project.
  • Possess expertise in relevant socio-economic analysis software and applications.
  • Public Consultations skills.
  • People skills including interpersonal, mentoring, motivating, negotiation, delegation and control, communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of contract management and administration
