Estimator
Our team is growing! If you want to be a part of a successful global organization and have at least 4 years of experience as an Estimator in Oil and Gas downstream, we would like to connect with you. This position is responsible for all aspects of standard estimating functions including, but not limited to, estimate assurance, cost benchmarking, and estimating for all project phases. Work with the following teams: Projects and/or Turnaround Planning, Process Development, Procurement, Construction, and Contracts This position is located at our Premier Energy Client site near near Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a long-term project and an internal Faithful+Gould position with robust benefits. Local candidates only, no per diem offered.

Responsibilities
- Provide assurance to total project cost estimates along with auditing contractor and engineering estimates to ensure appropriate cost target setting.
-Support and facilitate Monte Carlo-type cost risk assessments.
-Provide rough order of magnitude, conceptual, preliminary, and detail estimates to onsite project teams.
-Local Cost Benchmarking by help maintain historical cost database and apply learning for improved project performance.
-Be familiar with scope development best practice and fit-for-purpose parametric, conceptual material takeoff (MTO), and detailed MTO estimating techniques.
-Implement estimating policy, procedures, processes, guidelines, tools, and templates.
-Support external BRISKs and IPA benchmarking exercises.
-Support Business/Portfolio Management Team; for example, early screening estimates.
-Actively utilize the local cost database to measure project estimate performance.
-Identify, analyze, and respond to project opportunities, risks, and uncertainties.
-Maintain compliance with Published Guidelines and Common Processes as it relates to estimating and controls.
-Support project teams with stage-gated process and deliverables.
-Work with Project Team resources to complete all closeout requirements including lessons learned exercises.
-Support Contracts group and Contract Account Manager in developing strategy for programs and individual projects.
-Job walks in live process units are required

Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or related field
-At least four years’ relevant experience
-Knowledge and application of stage gate processes 
-Process industry technical knowledge & experience is strongly preferred.
-Experience in Aspen Tech software is preferred.
-Downstream experience is a must
