Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Atlanta team as an Executive Operations Coordinator.


Job Duties:

Provide administrative support and activity coordination to the Director of the Public and Private Business Unit and others as needed.

Important and varied duties in support of senior executives, which may be of high sensitivity and require complex coordination.

Provide rotational coverage of the reception area along with other admins in the Atlanta office to cover lunch and breaks for the receptionist.

Provides administrative support and activity coordination to senior executive(s), acting as their contact/liaison and assisting with various functions.

Maintains executives' calendars, scheduling and coordinating appointments, periodic meetings, conferences and travel arrangements.

Prepare expense reports.

Prepares presentations and materials for executive meetings, as assigned.

Acts as liaison between executive(s) and top management, and clients and prospective clients, responding to inquiries and requests for information/approval and directing others to appropriate staff as required.

Provides administrative support to executive(s) by composing memos, letters and other documents for executives' signatures.

Screens mail and telephone calls directed to senior executives and directs them as appropriate.

May prepare annual budget for executive(s).

Compiles overviews of budgets with comparative overviews of performance during annual budget process for use by executive(s) as assigned.

Participates on committees, as requested.

Participates in special projects, as assigned.

May research and compile ad-hoc reports as required by executive(s).

Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.


Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field plus a minimum of ten years' experience in administrative work, preferably with at least three years within the company. In the absence of such company tenure, prior experience in the Consulting Engineering industry supporting senior executives strongly desired. Without a degree, a minimum of fifteen years' experience in progressively responsible administrative work is required.


Special Skills:

Job requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, tact, sense of urgency, and attention to detail.

Knowledge of business administration practices and principles.

Computer skills required, particularly in MS Word and Outlook.

Ability to deal effectively and harmoniously with people at all levels of the organization and to represent the firm.
