Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Contracts and Subcontracts group as a Federal Contracts Manager. This position can sit in our Alexandria, VA or Calverton, MD office.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE
Responsible for all aspects of the Prime Contract Life Cycle including bid preparation, client negotiation, risk management, preparing REAs – requests for equitable adjustment, knowledge of FAR/DFARs and other agency supplements, CAS compliance, Commercial Item Acquisition. Must be familiar with cost plus, incentive, time & materials and firm fixed price contract types as well as GSA Schedules.

JOB DUTIES

Performs work that involves applying acquired and diversified knowledge and experience in contracts administration and the coordination of related activities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, plus a minimum of eight years relevant experience, five of which ‘must be related to FAR-based prime contract administration OR Master's degree in Business Administration or related field, plus a minimum of six years relevant experience, five of which ‘must be related to FAR-based prime contract administration.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Good analytical and organizational skills. Ability to perform mathematical calculations, to understand contract plans and specifications, organize information, and effectively utilize PC and applicable software.
