About Creative Design
‘Creative Design’ is not your typical in-house team. We are a proactive and creative team of over 55 designers, developers, visualisers, filmmakers and immersive media specialists integrated into the heart of Atkins.

Our expertise spans a range of creative disciplines, from traditional identity design to virtual reality and interactive platforms. We work collaboratively with Atkins’ teams and external clients, to get to the heart of a problem, adding value and innovation to every project.

We currently work with clients such as High Speed Rail, Transport for London, East West Rail, Ministry of Defence, Highways England, EDF Energy, Faithful and Gould, the University of Edinburgh and internal communications.

We are seeking a talented Film-maker/Photographer to join our growing in-house team of creatives, developers, designers, film-makers and animators. Creative Design is not your typical in-house team, working both internally and externally in a collaborative way to deliver maximum value for Atkins and its clients.

Reporting to the Film and Motion Technical Lead, you will work on projects including piece to camera interviews, case studies, retrospectives and promotional films. It is vital that you have a sound understanding of three point lighting set ups and experience of lighting for difficult spaces.

You will have experience with capturing audio for interviews and be confident to guide the subject during photography shoots, problem solving on the go when issues arise. Whilst you will be working alongside another film-maker, it’s important that you’re able to self-shoot on c100/fs7 and that you’re confident with conducting on camera interviews. You’ll be comfortable with talking to senior people within the company in a professional manner; we’re looking for the kind of person who loves producing engaging corporate films, thrives in this environment and is inspired by the idea of bringing the subject to life.

Additional responsibilities and attributes:

•   Able to edit footage on Premiere into a clear and understandable format.
•   Grading external or stock footage so that it fits uniformly into an edit.
•   Able to think on your feet and flexible with your time and approach.
•   Able to help with the logistical side of shooting. This will consist of production scheduling, budgeting, kit organising, interpreting briefs and conducting pre-shoot risk

•   Willing to travel
•   Communicate with clients and colleagues in order to push our offering and maintain a healthy workflow
•   Passionate about making films within the corporate sphere that engage and inspire our colleagues and clients

With your application please provide links to previous corporate film work and photography.
