SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Denver, Colorado Software Development team as a Business Analyst

 

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE


Financial / Business Analysis – support analysis of revenues and expenditures, project costs, and related financials as well as business process and documentation.

 

JOB DUTIES

Key activities include:

  • Estimate project costs
  • Enter costs and schedules into solutions such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6
  • Identify anomalies in project level information
  • Perform in depth quantitative analysis in Excel
  • Maintain various tracking spreadsheets
  • Author memos, reports, presentations, and relevant project deliverables
  • Design and develop visualization of key points in Microsoft suite
  • Forecast impacts of inflation, revenue volatility, and other risks or uncertainties
  • Create business process maps and data definition management tables
  • Work with client facing leads to capture meeting minutes
  • Provide document review
  • Other tasks as assigned

Office Support – support other Program Management Office responsibilities.

Key activities include:

  • Scheduling of meetings
  • Document management
  • Quality review



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline with four years of business experience.  Without a degree, this is typically reached through a minimum of ten years experience in relevant analytical and/or project administrative work

SPECIAL SKILLS

The role requires the following experience:

  • Relevant work within the infrastructure and capital program industry
  • Demonstrated one year of high level of analytical ability in order to gather and interpret data.
  • Requires ability to plan for, prioritize, coordinate, and handle a variety of complex tasks, interpreting and adapting established procedures and guidelines as necessary and appropriate.

The role requires the following skills:

  • Position requires strong analytical ability, good communication/interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and technical accounting skills.
  • Strong PC skills and ability to work in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word and Access, are required.
  • Ability to learn other applications including SharePoint, Visio, Power BI.
  • Position requires ability to deal effectively and harmoniously with people at all levels of the organization and to represent the firm professionally.
