In the Glasgow office we have a rapidly expanding workload and an exciting portfolio of energy (including offshore renewable and oil &gas), roads, rail, water and building development projects. We are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to further strengthen our industry leading geotechnical team.

Our Glasgow team is one of the strongest specialist geotechnical teams in Scotland and has an ethos of developing its staff to their full potential through our training and investment programme.

The successful applicant will be a geotechnical engineer or engineering geologist with a proven track record of technical work and project delivery.

Candidates should have:
•A strong academic background with a relevant degree (ideally Masters or equivalent)
•At or approaching Chartered status
•Proven experience of acting as a geotechnical engineer in a fast-moving engineering consultancy environment
•Excellent interpersonal and technical skills
•Excellent communication skills and confidence to liaise with clients
•Good commercial track record in negotiating and running successful jobs
•Excellent report writing skills, self-motivated and with the ability to produce accurate work
•Experience of site work including ground investigations
•A flair for innovation
•A willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas
•Candidates would require a driving licence

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
