Our Sector lead for residential is looking to recruit a high calibre individual to join as Head of Residential based in London.

The successful candidate will join an established team of commercial professionals and play a key role in leading our strategy for growth in the residential market.

 

Based in our London office and reporting to the Regional MD, you will contribute to the business plan for the QS team and London region. You will drive business/revenue growth in the residential sector, manage and plan resources, manage key client accounts, lead innovation, and foster a collaborative working environment.

 

In order to be successful for this role you will have a proven track record in delivering in the residential sector in the London region with a QS discipline, and will have an extensive network with Clients and peer group consultants at decision maker level.



Responsibilities
• QS Lead for the Residential sector in London
• Working closely with the Sector Leader and Commercial Property team, grow our market share in the sector by maximising opportunities with existing clients and bringing new clients to the business
• Identify strategic targets for the residential sector plan and steward the delivery of the plan
• Set and maintain excellent service delivery standards and a culture of continuous improvement
• Management of resources and workload planning, financial performance, quality assurance and business development
• Commercial management and governance on our projects contributing to positive business performance
• Support in meeting/exceeding KPIs set for the business
• Ensure we have the highest quality marketing collateral to support bids and meetings with prospective clients
• Collaboration with other offices, service streams, sectors and the wider Faithful+Gould/SNC Lavalin business to provide combined and innovative solutions to improve our competitive advantage.

Requirements
• Member of RICS, or similar qualification
• Proven experience of concentrating predominately on the Residential Sector
• Possess an extensive network with Clients and peer group consultants at decision maker level and knowledge of the residential sector in London
• Track record of winning and delivering projects for major residential developers and Regional Providers (RP’s) in London is essential
• Private Mid-Market Sale/PRS apartments, with medium to high rise experience. Also, office to residential conversion experience would be preferable
• Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Design for Manufacture & Assembly
• Proven experience in a senior level role running a team of QS (Typically 8-10 people)
• Detailed knowledge of our competitors, understand our market differentiators and help to shape them going forward
• Provide a strategic insight and ability to focus our business to take full advantage of an active residential market
• Successful in preparing bids, proposals, and leading teams at interviews
• Ability to enhance Brand through Thought Leadership and representation at events/ conferences (Speaker/ Expert Panel credentials if possible)

Please note that we will relocate from our current London office in Euston Tower to the Nova North building in Victoria in the first quarter of 2019.

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview
