Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Director

Faithful+Gould (Singapore) is looking for a dynamic and talented individual Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Director to join our Singapore Team.

Job Responsibilities

• Continuous improvement of the health, safety and environmental (HSE) function through advising and supporting management, supervisors and staff on HSE issues
• Work with the client’s HSE Department to meet all corporate HSE requirements
• Spearhead HSE programs and strategies, and align HSE initiatives with Company’s business strategies; and to comply with all regulatory and contractual requirements
• Produce, implement, and control project specific documents, coordinate safety activities, procedures and policies, and disseminate them regularly
• Support the client’s FM service provider in their daily operation and contractual requirements
• Interface and negotiate with regulatory bodies, clients and subcontractors
• Investigate accidents and implement measures to prevent recurrence
• Facilitate safety training, monitor and conduct courses as required
• Perform and assist in internal or external audits
• Update and comply with Health, Safety & Environmental legislations as applicable
Job Requirements:
• At least Bachelor degree in Engineering, preferably with major in HSE
• 10-15 years of working experience in Building and/or Engineering projects
• Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulatory requirements in Singapore
• Candidates must be registered as WSH Officer with MOM and Fire Safety Manager with SCDF will be preferred
• Experience with OHSAS 18001/ ISO 14001/ISO 9001
• Excellent MS Office knowledge, and good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin
• As a client facing role, it requires good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; and the ability to communicate with all levels of staff, including senior management
• Dynamic, self-motivated, proactive individual with strong ability to work as a team player as well as a team leader
