SNC-Lavalin Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Denver, Colorado Office as a Sr. Highway Construction Manager/Owner’s Rep.


Under direction, organizes field observation and monitoring of contractors' substantial compliance with contracts so that project quality, cost control and established completion schedule are met by contractor. NOTE: Incumbents do not supervise any contractor activities and are not responsible for job site safety. Perform as construction manager or
assistant construction manager for CDOT highway/bridge projects.

  • Performs non-manual field work that involves applying acquired knowledge and experience in the observation and monitoring of moderately complex construction contracts and the coordination of related activities.
  • Administers the construction contract on behalf of the owner and directs office and field personnel to provide exceptional client service for attention to safety, quality, cost and schedule.

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field and ten years related experience including personnel supervision. Engineering design experience desirable. With Associate's degree, eighteen years of related experience. Without a degree, twenty years related experience is required.
  • Good mathematical, communications, analytical, computer and organizational skills.

  • P.E. desired.

  • Five years of highway construction management and inspection experience, preferably for CDOT projects or other state DOTs. 
  • Ability to lead or assist in leading a team to administer the construction contract and delivery quality assurance inspection and materials testing services.
