SNC-Lavalin Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Denver, Colorado Office as a Sr. Highway Construction Manager/Owner’s Rep.

MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLE

Under direction, organizes field observation and monitoring of contractors' substantial compliance with contracts so that project quality, cost control and established completion schedule are met by contractor. NOTE: Incumbents do not supervise any contractor activities and are not responsible for job site safety. Perform as construction manager or
assistant construction manager for CDOT highway/bridge projects.

JOB DUTIES

Performs non-manual field work that involves applying acquired knowledge and experience in the observation and monitoring of moderately complex construction contracts and the coordination of related activities.
Administers the construction contract on behalf of the owner and directs office and field personnel to provide exceptional client service for attention to safety, quality, cost and schedule.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field and ten years related experience including personnel supervision. Engineering design experience desirable. With Associate's degree, eighteen years of related experience. Without a degree, twenty years related experience is required.

SPECIAL SKILLS

Good mathematical, communications, analytical, computer and organizational skills.

PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS

P.E. desired.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Five years of highway construction management and inspection experience, preferably for CDOT projects or other state DOTs.
Ability to lead or assist in leading a team to administer the construction contract and delivery quality assurance inspection and materials testing services.
