Highway Drainage Engineer

Responsibilities-

Successful candidate would be able to -

Analyse Drainage CCTV Data, Existing Drainage information.

Carry out the gap analysis for the available drainage surveys.

Study the existing drainage arrangement and find out the existing flows.

Prepare and model the drainage proposal.

Guide and Mentor the graduates.

Receive on the job technical training through performing tasks with minimum
supervision.

Project Management:

Good knowledge of work procedures and ensure work adheres to procedures.
Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost.
Developing knowledge of the commercial aspects of project management.
Able to work as reliable and pro-active member of the team, able to apply
knowledge gained.
Able to assign work to Technicians, Graduate Engineers and Administrative staff.
Refer to Senior Consultant on matters of major development importance and on matters relating to resourcing, departmental costs and expenses
Report on own performance on a regular basis including (this includes e.g.
timesheets)

Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering/Environmental Engineering discipline plus typically up to 6 years of relevant experience or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.

Software capabilities

Micro Drainage, Storm CAD, Civil Storm, InRoads, Micro-station, InfoWorks CS

Communication

Good communication and listening skills.
Writing professional reports under supervision with minimal rework required.
Identifies and communicates concerns to immediate Supervisor
Discusses career goals and aspirations
Issuing clear and precise instructions to less experienced team members
Able to draft responses to straight forward queries
