HR Associate - International Assignments - UK / Europe Region

Role summary:

The purpose of this role is the delivery of international assignment services so that the end-to-end assignment services are delivered to the highest standard and in a common way. Assignment types include short term, commuter and long term assignments. The role will work closely with the International Assignment Advisors based in the UK.

 

Responsibilities, including (but not limited to):

  • Preparation of assignment letters and related documentation for all stages of the assignment lifecycle
  • Preparation of assignment costings
  • Preparation of social security documents
  • Updating HRIS system and instructing payroll for all stages of assignment lifecycle
  • Owning monthly payroll tracker and attending weekly team calls to update on progress
  • Maintaining modified payroll requirements
  • Manage the activities related to global compensation input and queries
  • Management reporting and tracking assignments for required actions
  • Initiating all external vendors e.g. immigration, DSP, tax services and shipment
  • Co-ordination and preparation of any immigration related documents
  • Manage the activities related to the annual tax cycle e.g. tax return processes, sending chaser emails
  • Provide support with IA operational improvements e.g. checklists, template assignment letters, Oracle guides etc
  • Provide support on cyclical activities e.g. annual and biannual review of assignment allowances, salary reviews etc.
  • Liaising with other HR Centre teams, payroll teams where necessary to be able to manage assignment set-ups
  • Assist in resolving employee assignment related queries
  • Build trusted relationships with Regional IA team, through successful delivery, regular updates and dialogue, and collaborative behaviours.
  • Assisting with adhoc assignment related payments
  • Preparing any adhoc assignment related letters
  • Managing e-filing requirements

 



Skills/Experience Required 

Person Specification

  • Educated to degree level, preferably with a relevant International Assignments experience
  • Experience of the International Assignment Life cycle
  • Experience of establishing and maintaining stakeholder relationships e.g. internally within HR and externally with vendors
  • Diligent, thorough and well-organised with the ability to think and plan ahead
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent PC and MS Office skills (with intermediate Excel and Word as a minimum).
  • Familiarity with HRIS system e.g. Oracle
  • Familiarity with International Assignment systems (preferred)
