Role Summary
The HR Partner will be a key member of the HR Leadership team. The role holder will demonstrate high level of business acumen and provide HR support to enable smooth operations and continuous talent evolution of the business that s/he will contribute to. This position will focus on employee engagement, service delivery and full cycle of HR operation of the as the key deliverables.

Responsibilities
• Take a leading role in supporting the realisation of business goal of productivity by constantly working with the business to reshape the workforce
• Ensure that the people agenda plans are implemented as promised
• Provide intelligence to sharpen the resourcing strategy and ensure that recruitment and retention remain a key focus for the business
• Act as a change agent to support evolution of the business to be well positioned
• Maximise employee utilisation through improved resource planning and effective talent mobility.
• Facilitate business performance by enabling business leaders and managers to get the best out of their people through effective performance management.
• Work with the regional HR business partners to deliver HR priorities for global businesses as applicable
• Champion, challenge and support organisational development and planned changes.
• Lead internal cultural development for the business (engagement, empowerment, consistency, collaboration, diversity, accountability) in line with corporate goals.
• Ensure that appropriate KPIs and management information are in place to drive continuous improvement and enable measurement of progress against targets.
• Work with the HR Head of China to achieve talent/succession management for the business.
• Coach and support line managers and support employee grievance handling
• Ensure compliance and governance, be aware of all the labour laws.
• Proactively participate as a member of the APAC HR senior team in various forums to drive plans and results.
• Whilst the business will have many touch points with HR delivery teams, the HRBP will take overall responsibility for the HR service to the Business. As well as delivering the people agenda within the business, the HRBP will also work alongside other senior HR colleagues to develop and deliver the wider Atkins people strategy.

While the person will play the primary role of HR Partner, he/she will also take up additional functional responsibilities in reward or talent management based on interest, skills and experience.

The candidate should have a Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or such significant field from a reputed institute or university

Professional Skills
• Business Acumen and Commercial Awareness : The person should be able to clearly understand business strategy and direction and align HR priorities accordingly.
• HR Functional Expertise: The person should have had a well-rounded exposure through handling roles or assignments or projects in resourcing, rewards, learning and development and HR policies/processes and employee relations. While in-depth specialist knowledge is not an expectation, an overall understanding and experience in 2-3 HR functional areas will be an advantage to this position
• Project Delivery and Change Management: The person should have experience in providing HR solutions to business challenges. Experience in project delivery in talent management, organisation development, employee engagement initiatives etc will be given added weightage.
• The person also should have the ability to facilitate and manage change effectively
• Facilitation and Coaching: Ability to facilitate handling of various people related matters and coach the line on application of HR policies and processes, work-place legislation etc. Facilitation will also involve consulting with the line to understand their needs and brokering solutions using the CoEs and HR Operations teams.
• Ability to manage teams and build networks: Ability to manage and mentor small teams. Ability to create networks with the business and the HR community outside work.
• Use of data and analytics: The person should have a flair for numbers and should be good at analysis and providing data driven solutions.
