The work of the HR Service team is key to supporting the business, line managers and employees in all things HR. This team provide the HR face to the business and HR Services need to be delivered with passion and commitment providing a consistently great customer experience and making sure services deliver optimally meeting all policy and compliance requirements. The Services Team also includes responsibility for improvement – how can systems, processes and data be optimised to make the service even better and take a pro-active approach to lead not just respond to business requirements.

The HR Shared Services Manager will ensure that the HR Shared Services Team, working collaboratively with the HR Centre in Bangalore and drawing on the specialist skills in the HR Systems and Improvements Team, deliver an effective and efficient HR service to all business units, managers and employees achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and the highest quality in client delivery to consistently meet and exceed SLAs and KPIs. The HR Shared Services Manager has overall responsibility for ensuring that the HR Shared Services Team delivers to consistently high levels while driving continuous improvement initiatives and effectively managing compliance.


Qualifications and Experience
• Whilst a recognised HR qualification would be preferred, we would consider applications where equivalent knowledge and expertise has been obtained via experience
• Demonstrable success in an HR Service leadership role including off-shored service delivery
• Excellent understanding and experience of working with HRSSC systems preferred

• Proven experience of leading, managing and motivating a successful team
• Ability to manage business demands and to balance team and business needs appropriately, setting clear expectations for both
• Experience of performance management, coaching and mentoring managers and team members
• Proven experience of advising and supporting internal and external stakeholders
• Experience of working as part of a project team and managing project workstreams
• Discreet with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations

Desirable Capabilities
• Stakeholder management and customer interaction within an HR Shared Service operation with multi-country and multi-cultural teams

• Responsible for the ongoing improvement of the HR Shared Services Team – lead, manage and develop the team ensuring an integrated approach to service delivery and collaboration with the HR Systems & Improvements Team and the HRC
• Recognised in the business as the face of HR Shared Services supporting the HR Shared Services Leader and meeting regularly with HRBPs and Business Unit Managers to clearly manage business expectations of HR Shared Services in a proactive and positive manner
• Drive process standardisation and improvement within HR Shared Services working closely with the HR Systems and Innovations Manager and the HRC proactively supporting team actions
• Work with the HR Systems & Innovations Manager to ensure technology is optimised to best meet HR Shared Services and customer requirements
• Organise and lead HR Shared Services Team meetings with directly reporting Shared Services Advisor group
• Participate in HR Shared Services wider team meetings to update on monthly performance, improvement initiatives and business changes impacting the service
• Attend HR Leadership and Business meetings to represent HR Shared Services and contribute to operational and strategic decision making
• Participate in HR Shared Services Governance Forums, leading and attending as appropriate to ensure service is managed effectively
• Work with the HR Shared Services Leader to support planning, resourcing and implementation of service delivery and improvement
• Manage tracking and reporting of service delivery in the HR Shared Services Team according to agreed KPI’s/SLAs and other measures agreed
• Work with the HR Shared Services Leader on process improvement plans for the resolution of service related risks and issues
• Senior HR specialist acting as general HR subject matter expert with direct involvement in operational HR cases where a greater level of seniority or experience is required
• Point of escalation and arbitration to resolve long-standing or complex cases raised through the HR Shared Services Team or from senior business customers
• Directly manage the performance and development of the HR Shared Services Senior Advisors and the Payroll Manager
• Build excellent working relationships with Business Leaders and key stakeholders of HR Shared Services
• Support the HR Shared Services Leader with prioritisation of system and process change requirements within the HR Shared Services Team to ensure improvement targets are met
• Keep personal knowledge up-to-date through external networking and attending conferences bringing back leading edge and innovative HR Shared Services thinking and sharing this with the team and HR Leadership. Introducing and applying new methods and applications to the HR Shared Service Team when feasible and appropriate.
