HR Systems and Innovation - Assistant Advisor

The work of the HR Shared Service team is key to supporting the business, line managers and employees in all things HR. This team provide the HR face to the business and HR Services need to be delivered with passion and commitment providing a consistently great customer experience and making sure services deliver optimally meeting all policy and compliance requirements. The Shared Services Team also includes responsibility for improvement – how can systems, processes and data be optimised to make the service even better and take a pro-active approach to lead not just respond to business requirements.

The Assistant Advisor role, will provide a comprehensive support service cross functionally within Systems and Innovation Team. This role reports to the HR Systems and Innovations Senior Consultant

This role is currently being advertised as 6 months FTC.

Qualifications
• Knowledge and expertise with a recognised HR qualification preferred, or qualified through experience
• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths
• Excellent understanding and experience of working with HR systems preferred

Essential Criteria
• Strong computer skills across the full range of Microsoft Office applications, in particular Excel (v-lookup), Word and the use of mail merge, and prior experience of HR databases.
• An ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines with limited supervision
• Self motivated with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Generalist HR advisory experience and good working knowledge of HR procedures and policies
• Good attention to detail to ensure that all documentation is accurate
• Friendly and approachable manner, able to build and sustain relationships based on trust at all levels
• Excellent customer service and a flexible approach to work
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills able to communicate confidently and comfortably
• Proven administration experience working in a constantly changing environment
• A professional manner and the ability to develop strong working relationships
• Strong customer focus and drive to deliver
• Focus on continuous improvements - ability to identify, share and escalate.
• Resilience under pressure
• Demonstrate high level of organisation while effectively adapting to changing priorities
• Manage a varied workload to deadlines without compromising quality

Desirable Criteria
• Stakeholder management and customer interaction within an HR Shared Service operation with multi-country and multi-cultural teams
• Knowledge of HR Systems i.e. Oracle, ServiceNow, Workday, Taleo
• Experience of using Microsoft Office 365 and Sharepoint
• Sound understanding of GDPR

Responsibilities
• Work in ‘Agile teams’ to support and test core HR systems
• Support the HR Systems & Improvements Team in planning, developing and implementing HR system change requests, system upgrades and UAT activities
• Coordinate internal audit across HR for UK&E to ensure key controls are compliant
• Work with the HR Systems & Improvements Team to support in all activity related to systems, process and data management, quality and compliance
• Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives in HR processes and systems
• Build excellent working relationships with Business Leaders, HR teams, employees and stakeholders
• Identifying customer needs, seeking and providing effective solutions to their queries
• Clearly understand service delivery boundaries and hand offs and operate within them
• Ensure current statutory and legislative requirements are being complied with
• Work pro-actively to support and deliver excellent customer experience
• Have a proactive and collaborative approach, working with HR colleagues and stakeholders to ensure timely and professional delivery across a range of activities and ad hoc projects
• Keep up to date with future trends in HR Services and participate in internal HR Innovation and Improvement forums
