Atkins is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starters to join our Calverton, Maryland team as an HVAC Designer.

Provide design, production and coordination of construction plans and drawings in support of engineering or architectural project(s). The successful candidate will be responsible for HVAC design using Revit MEP software, and will work under the direct supervision of a senior engineer.

Job Duties:

Air distribution system layout and sizing.

Hydronic piping layout and sizing.

HVAC load calculations using Trane Trace software. Selecting and scheduling terminal equipment (fan coils, air terminal units, unit heaters,etc.).

Selecting and scheduling exhaust and ventilation fans. Reviewing construction product submittals, reviewing construction RFI's.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of continuous experience producing HVAC design documents; 3 years continuous experience producing HVAC design documents using Revit MEP.

Minimum 3 years experience using Trane Trace HVAC load calculation software.

Minimum 3 years experience designing air distribution and hydronic piping systems.
