As part of our regional growth plans for KSA, we are currently seeking an experienced Infrastructure Design Manager to lead our infrastructure design team in Riyadh. This person must be forward thinking, experienced in running large, multi-disciplined teams and relish the challenge of developing a rapidly expanding infrastructure portfolio in a demanding.

As part of our regional growth plans for Abu Dhabi, we are currently seeking an experienced Infrastructure Technical Project Manager to lead our Civil, Infrastructure & Transportation (CIT) design projects in Abu Dhabi. This person must be forward thinking, experienced in running large, multi-disciplined teams and relish the challenge of developing a rapidly expanding infrastructure portfolio in a demanding.

Requirements

The Project Manager should be a qualified professional with senior management responsibilities within their current organisation. The candidate should demonstrate experience and ability to manage and lead major mixed-use infrastructure projects in the UAE and across the Gulf region. The Project Lead should be capable of providing planning, leadership, direction and technical expertise to manage complex tasks and multidisciplinary projects.

They must have a minimum degree qualification BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent, with the preferred candidate to Chartered or working towards Chartership status. The experienced role will require the candidate to have more than 15 years’ experience with 5 years performing a similar role.

The Project Manager will also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Atkins reputation with our clients and developing effective long-term client relationships thus identifying and developing new opportunities for the Atkins Group. The Project Lead must meet the following attributes.

  • An experienced Project / Design Manager with a demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multi-functional mixed infrastructure projects, ideally within urban and interurban environments.
  • Experience in the delivery of civil, roads and utilities from master planning through to Issue For Construction..
  • Knowledge and extensive experience in project management and project control procedures.
  • A “rounded profile”, comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process and commercial considerations.
  • Experience in mobilization of staff, building teams and mentoring peers.
  • Effective in building relationships with existing and new clients
  • Effective in building relationships with peers, design teams and internal management.  
  • Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams

Principle Activities

  •  Develop and Implement the relevant industry standards
    • Local Authority and International Standards
  • Management and delivery of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects
  • Management of Client Satisfaction to ensure Clients expectations are adhered to
  • Program and Budget Management for multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
  • Ensuring high quality deliverables are achieved in line with Atkins QA/QC procedures.
  • Peer Reviews – Covering issues such as cost effectiveness, aesthetics, alternatives, operation and maintenance, design life, etc.
  • Implementation of Value Engineering throughout the design development ensuring all savings are clearly documented and the most feasible design solutions are developed.
  • Line management and mentoring
  • Project management, budgeting and programming workloads
  • Consultation and management of design being delivered by offshore design centres
  • Implementation of digital design
