SNC-Lavalin is one of the leading engineering and construction groups in the world and a major player in the ownership of infrastructure. Our work focuses largely across the transport, infrastructure, energy, aerospace and defence sectors where we’re involved in the delivery of major projects such as Hinkley Point C, HS2 and the Heathrow Airport expansion. As the digital world collides with our physical environment, we're also facing and embracing a wave of opportunity to use our skills in new ways to drive the digitalisation of infrastructure design, build, operation and asset management.

SNC-Lavalin requires an internal communications professional to join its UK & Europe Communications team on a 12-month fixed term contract for maternity cover. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic internal communications team that is responsible for delivering strategies, campaigns and plans which support the objectives of multiple businesses that operate in the region.
Following the company’s acquisition of Atkins – one of the world’s most respected global engineering, design and project management consultancies – in 2017, the candidate will also be involved in delivering change projects which support business integration at a regional and sector level.
The successful candidate will deliver all aspects of the internal communications mix for their stakeholders including providing advice, developing plans, creating tailored messaging and executing tactical activity. It will be your job to deliver activities which engage and involve employees so that they know what is expected of them and what is happening in the company and feel motivated to give their best. You will also help to ensure that UK & Europe communications are delivered in line with SNC-Lavalin policies and reflect industry best practice.
With over 9,000 employees working in the company’s UK & Europe region, this is both a challenging role and one which comes with huge opportunity to apply your creativity in order to have a positive impact on the way we inform, inspire and involve our people in the delivery of our business objectives.

The role may require travel within the UK from time to time.
