We are looking for a confident leader with proven experience delivering services to a global business within agreed SLA’s and budgets. The Configuration & Automation Manager will require excellent stakeholder management skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.

The Configuration & Automation Manager will be responsible for:
• End to end accountability for the configuration and automation services globally, including infrastructure security, malware and vulnerability management
• Defining the policies, standards and design principles for the configuration and automation services
• Ensuring the strategy and technology roadmaps are in place and reviewed regularly with Enterprise Architecture
• Proactively managing the technology life cycle of services, ensuring most appropriate versions and updates are deployed
• Establish a capacity management process thus ensuring available and appropriate levels of capacity are maintained and delivered to agreed service levels
• Ensuring the most appropriate solutions are utilised for the business services
• Providing specialist third and fourth level support services, and owning the liaison with 3rd party vendor support
• Responsible for ensuring the ongoing transition of operational/transactional processes and procedures to Global Services (1st & 2nd level)
• Continual service improvement through best practise and new and innovative technologies
• Lead the adoption and delivery of automation to stream line and improve services for the business
• Leading the Configuration & Automation team and managing their workload on a day-to-day basis, assigning resources to tasks as appropriate and ensuring suitable levels of service and support coverage globally
• Ensuring that projects are delivered to budget and time
• Maintaining and developing the teams working environment including processes, tools, data-sets and applications. Reporting progress, achievements and results against Service Level Agreements.
• Working with your colleagues in the Technical Services organisation you will review, negotiate and maintain achievable, acceptable service levels.
• The ownership for prompt remediation of risk and audit actions for accountable services

Experience should include:
• Extensive experience working with Microsoft Systems Centre (SCCM, SCOM) and Anti-Malware products in a tiered and distributed global environment and providing technical support for all elements of the service.
• In-depth understanding of Operating System Deployment technologies through SCCM and the underlying infrastructure required, with the ability to create
• Ability to write PowerShell, VB Scripts and TSQL reports.
• Managing Cyber-Security related incidents from detection through to remediation
• Vulnerability management within an enterprise environment
• Support of these services in a Windows 7/10 and Server 2008/2012/2016 environment.
• Extensive experience working within ITIL aligned Service Delivery organization
• Strong experience of coordinating service solutions with business stakeholders
• Experience managing and working with remote teams
• Proven experience of delivering process efficiencies and improvements
• Experience of managing and delivering projects and solutions

Requirements:
• Proven experience of various technologies including Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), System Center Orchestrator, Systems Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and Anti-Malware Systems
• Proven experience working in enterprise-class environments
• Strong knowledge of capacity planning and management
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure security
• Strong knowledge on scripting languages, methods, best practices and automation frameworks
• Experience in managing relationships with key suppliers

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview
