SNC-Lavalin Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Nuclear Group in Camden, New Jersey as an IT Project Manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Establish IT strategy for each project across: hardware, software, networks and data management.
- Manage the implementation of the IT strategy for each site and, in particular, the effective migration from the previous owners’ infrastructure to CDI’s infrastructure.
- Work with the broader delivery team to understand the system and performance requirements needed for the projects.
- Develop policies and procedures to enable effective and efficient replication of the approaches adopted
- Ensure the IT infrastructure is delivered to time, budget and the required quality.
- Supervise and direct IT personnel.
- Interface with the IT department of CDI’s owners and Holtec International.
- Participate in recruitment.
EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
- 15-20 years’ experience as an IT professional.
- 3+ years’ experience as an IT project manager or the management of an IT department.
- Experience with large IT migration projects, which includes capture requirement, selection, testing (system & UAT), and go-live.
- Reasonable experience of network and data challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Candidates with very strong, proven, project management expertise but lower levels of IT experience and qualifications will also be considered.
LOCATION & TRAVEL
- The main office will be Holtec International’s technology campus in Camden, New Jersey.
- Frequent travel (2-3 days per week) is expected. Initially this will be to two project sites in the North East: Pilgrim nuclear power plant and Oyster Creek nuclear power plant.
