Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a confident, diligent and business focussed individual to join our IT Security team providing services to a global user base involved in some of the most imaginative engineering projects in the world.

Using their knowledge of Information and IT Security the role holder will provide a bridge between business protection and business agility.  A key aspect of this will be accrediting suppliers and managing accreditation of our systems for civil and government customers.

The ideal candidate will be well versed in standard security frameworks and will be an evangelist for security as an enabler both within the wider IT team and the rest of the business.

The role is based in Epsom but opportunities for working from home or other Atkins offices may be available after a period of probation and evaluation.


Requirements
Knowledge of:
• Common legal requirements for security reporting
• Information / Cyber security frameworks
The following experience:
o Achieving and maintaining accreditation under UK government frameworks
o Working in a multinational IT function
o Standard risk management frameworks
o Supporting bids for new work by compiling answers to security questionnaires.
o Use of a major ITSM product 
o Presenting security topics to senior business stakeholders
o Evaluating physical security measures for IT
o Organising external and internal vulnerability assessments
o Interpreting security reports and security alerts.
o Assessment of the security of Cloud and other 3rd party suppliers
This role requires the following skills:
• Creation of documents and performing analysis using standard Microsoft Office.
• A good standard of written and spoken English
Other additional skills / experience which would be of benefit:
• Data analysis using PowerBi and SQL server
• Experience of obtaining IT Security accreditation for government and other organisations.
• A good standard of written and spoken French

Preference would be given to candidates possessing the following qualifications or equivalent:
• CCP / Security & Information Risk Advisor
• Degree educated
• Post graduate qualification in information security
• CompTia Security+ or equivalent experience
• CSA Certificate of Cloud Security knowledge or equivalent 

Responsibilities
• Evaluating reported security incidents and escalating as appropriate
• Defining security incident response processes
• Obtaining / creating security training awareness material
• Presenting security topics to business users
• Addressing security questionnaires from customers and other 3rd parties
• Evaluating the security posture of Cloud and 3rd Party Suppliers
• Carrying out risk assessments for IT changes and policy waivers
• Discovering and documenting external/customer requirements for security 
• Providing security relevant metrics to the business and to IT management
• Acting as a liaison between IT Security and the Global Security team
• Acting as an advocate for business within the security team
• Creating and maintaining system and topic specific policies
