In our Glasgow office we have a great opportunity for a Junior CAD Technician to be part of our UK CAD team and help to deliver a wide range of projects in the infrastructure and energy sectors. You’ll need to be fully conversant with AutoCAD.
This is crucial role to the business therefore you’ll be on a fast learning path.

It is essential to:
•Have the desire & confidence to create neat and accurate technical drawings
•Be a team player with creativity, dedication, good communication skills and able to communicate well with senior engineering staff about project objectives and details.
•Be reliable, practical and self-motivated
••Have an understanding of the Civil Engineering.
•Be fully conversant in AutoCAD.
•Be able to produce high quality output from CAD systems for use in contract documents and reports in a civil engineering environment
•Have ability and desire to work on a diverse range of projects, good organisation skills, able to prioritise and manage tasks effectively
•Hold the motivation to work effectively as a fully participating member of a busy CAD team within the business
•Be able to work with limited supervision
•Be willing to learn new software
Desirable criteria•Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
•Knowledge of Keyhole/HoleBase geotechnical software
•Knowledge of Microstation
•Training will be provided if not familiar with the use of the above software.
ResponsibilitiesTo provide Engineering drawings which are core to the business and will form part of essential reports, contract documentation and project tenders etc
To apply and adhere to published CAD standards for Ground Engineering
Must be flexible and adaptable regarding CAD task programmes with respect to both client & project requirements.
