Job Description

This position is within the Financial Accounting team.  The role will report to the Assistant Manager in Bangalore and the Financial Controller based in the UK . The main activities include Bank reconciliation, intercompany reconciliation and General Ledger.

Requirements

Qualifications
• Batchelor’s degree – B’COM & BBM
• Qualified in a recognised professional accountancy qualification.  This role would suit a candidate with around two years’ post-qualification experience.  
• Excellent candidates with an intention & passion to pursue CIMA or equivalent qualification would be considered.

Essential Criteria

• The candidate must have bank reconciliation, intercompany & General Ledger experience.
• Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including use and set-up of Pivot tables.
• Good Accounting skills
• Good English skills – written and verbal communication.
• Strong reconciliation skills.
• Experience of an accounting software package.

Desirable Criteria
• Good working knowledge of JD Edwards accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Auto bank reconciliations.
• Manual bank reconciliations.
• Regularising the reconciling items by posting necessary journal entries.
• Assisting with weekly cash reports and quarterly cash flow forecasting.
• Reconciliation of intercompany trade balances on a monthly basis for over 100 entities.
• General ledger activities like accruals, prepayments, cost transfer etc.
• Assist with quarterly intercompany reconciliations.
• Collating documentation to support intercompany recharging.
• Ad hoc tasks including producing reports.

• Ability to work to deadlines and take responsibility - must be able to identify the deadline for a piece of work to be completed e.g. period end and take responsibility for ensuring that the deadline is achieved
• Ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
• Organised - they must be able to work in a structured way demonstrating an audit trail.
• Good Attention to detail.
• Team Player – as a small team it will be necessary to cover colleagues’ workload
