SNC-Lavalin is going through an exciting period of change. From apps, virtual reality and artificial intelligence, to mobility as a service and digital asset management, we are combining our traditional engineering skills with technology to fundamentally change the way we do things. 

The SNC-L Atkins Learning & Development team formed part of wider HR function are in a position to recruit a new role - Professional Development Advisor in our Derby Office.

The role will support the Early Careers team. The team delivers the Graduate Development Programme (GDP), Professional Apprentice Programme (PA), co-ordinates several professional development schemes including the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) training scheme and the assessment of professional competence (APC) scheme for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and has overall responsibility for Careers across UK & Europe within SNC Lavalin.

Your role will include:
Professional Development 
• Co-ordinate the delivery, by the business, of professional development (PD) registration with UK technical institutions
• Facilitate good governance and accreditation of PD schemes
• Supervise the delivery of PD scheme administration services by the HR Centre
• Identify and manage the implementation of PD scheme process improvements as appropriate
• Ensure an equitable sharing of resources across the business in the delivery of PD schemes
• Working closely with the L&D Advisor for the Graduate Development Programme (GDP) to share resources and best practice;
• Support with the annual apprentice progression process

Platform Management
• Identify and maintain the My Chartership platform
• Key interface for site improvements and development
• Maintain the Early careers sharepoint sites.

Forums
• Key interface for Early Careers forums 

Interfaces
• UK&E Learning and Talent Development team.
• HR Centre Learning and Development team. 
• Wider HR community. 
• Key stakeholders within the business. 
• Professional Institutions

Skills

• Ensuring all safety accidents/incidents are reported in the correct laid out procedure and corrective action is taken where necessary.
• Ensure the working environment is maintained in a safe and tidy condition.
