Atkins Nuclear Solutions US is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join the nuclear team in Oak Ridge, TN.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Participates in the hiring process that ensures positions are staffed with personnel who possess the appropriate education and experience and who can be successful in meeting training and qualification requirements that ensure personnel are appropriately indoctrinated and trained to the necessary competence level for performing their duties.

Manages the activities, professional development and performance of personnel performing work within their respective department.

Provides oversight and direction for the use of a database that aides in maintenance scheduling, planning and approves any changes in planned maintenance periodicity.

Works with Engineering and Operations personnel for the development of requisite procedures for Operations and Testing.

Oversees coordination of maintenance support with UT-Battelle and outside resources, when needed.

Tracks metrics on maintenance performance monthly.

Ensures that facility is maintained and work is performed in compliance with applicable facility safety basis, Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS), Environmental Safety Health and Quality, Configuration Management, Conduct of Operations and Work Control requirements.

Assists in development of annual and long-term planning that includes budget development and administration, identifying needs for facility equipment upgrades or replacement.

Develops and implements management and facility policies that affect maintenance.

Ensures that maintenance personnel have received all proper training necessary to perform maintenance activities necessary to support the facility.

Manages work control, maintenance planning, and maintenance coordination and manages overall workload of maintenance organization and participates in design reviews as appropriate.
Approves maintenance training program and reviews Work Packages for thoroughness, completion and closure.

Implements the M&TE calibration and control system and determine remedial activities on our tolerance M&TE.

Supports the execution of ISMS guiding principles and core functions and the Isotek Safety Culture.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Supervisory experience required.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.

Strong organization skills.

Ability to interface at all levels of organization.


EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Baccalaureate in engineering or related science.

Minimum of 4 years’ nuclear.

Ability to understand existing and planned facility drawings and schematics.
