Atkins is currently seeking a highly motivated self-starter to join our Aiken,SC Energy Team as Maintenance Scheduler.


JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for development of work packages and ensuring resources are available for completion of work activities.

 
JOB DUTIES/TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops work packages to include scheduling, material staging/requisition, labor estimating, special work permits (hot work/confined space), special work procedures, special PPE, and other field support as required.

Generates work orders and reports using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Supports construction, maintenance, or operations workforce.

Accountable and responsible for preparations for all work in an assigned work week.

For the assigned work week within the 6 week rolling schedule, insures all aspects of Planning, Scheduling and Coordination are completed.

Ensures work activities for a given week are “field ready” including the right materials/tools are available for use, the right people are identified with the skills and training necessary, the right oversight resources are notified and available (competent person, SME,
IH, etc) and the right documents are available and approved.

Develops consistent, robust Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs) with input by workers, subject matter experts (SMEs), etc. Develops work packages with well understood and described work scope. Ensures permits have correct reviews and approvals.

Manages all changes for work packages and accountable for updating documents, getting new approvals, getting new materials/equipment readied, etc and receiving construction/facility approvals for work restart.

Assists Operations and Commissioning for accruing objective quality evidence (OQE) for salient criteria for system turnover for commissioning, start-up and Operational Readiness Review (ORR) activities.

Leads work window critiques to determine improvement actions for work processes.

Performs other duties as assigned.

 
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
 
Education

Associate's degree required in related technical or computer field

Certifications

None required


Required Experience

A minimum of 10 years of combined work control and field (construction, maintenance, and/or operations) experience

5 years construction project experience

3 years commercial or DOE Complex experience or equivalent high/hazard/complex work environment

Experience with CMMS programs (e.g. Assets Suite, CHAMPS, Maximo, etc)
 
Prior Experience with Primavera P6
Proficient with MS Access
Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills
Large Database Experience
Coordinate Multiple Workgroups Efficiently

REQUIRED AND DESIRED SKILLS

Proficient in utilizing PC and various applications related to work control and work planning activities

Advanced computer skills

General knowledge of plant process equipment including utilities, hand and power tools, and test equipment

Detailed knowledge of construction standard practices, including working knowledge of codes and regulations

Detailed knowledge of standard work planning practices and associated control systems, including working knowledge of best practices of work management

Detailed knowledge of procurement practices, including expediting initiatives

Detailed knowledge of scheduling practices

Detailed knowledge of hazard analysis methods for worker protection

Ability to coordinate and work well with multiple groups for planning high hazard, complex work initiatives

Effective oral and written communication skills on technical and non-technical subjects

Working knowledge of craft tools and calibration equipment, including hand and power tools, test equipment, mobile and fixed cranes

Working knowledge of MA-01, MIL-SPEC, OSHA, EPA, vendor manuals and P&IDs
