Our Chicago Team is growing! The Marketing Manager has the responsibility of managing all phases of the proposal process and oversees all assigned proposal activities for our CRE Sector to develop marketing pieces that include proposals, statements of qualification, and intriguing presentations. Plan, organize, and direct all elements of proposal preparation, e.g. analyze client requests, develop response plans (response team, compliance check-list, response outline, schedule), initiate/facilitate Go/No Go decision making, lead kick-off meetings, manage and work with teams to develop proposals, refine win themes, conduct in-progress reviews, schedule reviews, ensure compliant and on-time delivery of proposals. Related experience in Corporate Interiors buildouts is a plus!
Responsibilities
-Independently responds to routine requests for information.
-Independently creates and populates forms to be included in proposal submissions and assists proposal coordinators in obtaining appropriate signatures.
-Takes active role in proposal document production.
-Provide fundamental Vision queries.
-Pull resumes and project descriptions from Vision.
-Under direction of proposal manager, supports pursuit process.
-Lay out the proposal using InDesign template.
-Coordinate and help produce, package, and track the proposal for delivery, ensuring that proposal submission deadlines are always achieved.
-Follow internal proposal development process and use consistent set of tools.
-Assists in the proposal closeout process.
-May perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary-Provides marketing and proposal support to the local office and/or specific sectors / services as needed.
-Provides professional design, development, and production of custom and standard marketing materials including proposals, qualifications and presentations.
-Develops and executes compelling written and visual content that promotes the company’s services.
-Applies skills to handle a wide variety of situations.
-Perform detailed analysis of RFQ/RFP documents and developing detailed compliance and responsibility matrices.
-Collaborate with members of proposal team to develop strategy.
-Establish production schedule and developing a resource plan to ensure a timely response.
-Follow up with members of the proposal team on status of all proposal elements and expedite as required.
-Coordinate and lead review meetings.
-Write non-technical portions of the proposal. Edit and organize all written technical materials supplied by support groups.
-Provide graphic/layout assistance as needed.
-Coach the capture management team through shortlist and interview preparations.
-Maintain up-to-date resumes and project descriptions for use in project pursuits
Requirements
-Bachelors degree from an accredited university in marketing, journalism, engineering, construction, or other similar field related to our industry required
-At least four years of relevant experience, with the AEC (Architectural, Engineering, and Construction) industry preferred
-Strong capability in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite (esp. InDesign)
-Strong written and verbal communication skills required
-Project engineering and/or management experience a plus
-Experience with program management, construction management, and design-build a plus
