Atkins has been providing infrastructure planning, engineering, construction management, environmental consulting, urban planning, architecture and design, and program management services to the Federal Government, public and private clients across the United States for more than 50 years.

Atkins seeks an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Denver, CO Corporate Communications team as a Marketing Manager.

Key Objectives of the Role:

Manage internal and external communications for the nuclear and power functions of the US and Latin America region, supporting internal engineering and technical clients in writing, editing, strategizing on communication materials and campaigns while managing budget and schedule. Position requires a self-starter who can work with multiple internal clients and produce all types of communications materials for internal and external clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Strategically advise on message and brand development to support the business strategy and market positioning

Work closely with the US communications team to raise the profile of the nuclear business in the United States and Latin America

Identify and evaluate speaker, sponsorship, exhibiting and advertising opportunities

Secure and manage staff involvement in external industry events and coordinate any related hosted activities

Prepare speakers and materials for events, liaising with organizers as appropriate

Manage the brand, addressing questions about brand guidelines and ensuring high quality production and consistent messaging across all online and printed marketing materials

Evolve and coordinate the production of marketing collaterals including brochures, exhibition stands, presentations and video

Work with graphic designers and agencies if applicable to manage and implement identity materials

Support the leadership team with developing timely and effective employee communications

Design campaigns to support change programs specific to the Americas and support with communications for any wider corporate communications programs

Manage, maintain and help evolve internal communication channels and content

Effectively manage and be accountable for the Nuclear US and Nuclear Secured communications budget.



Key Requirements:

Bachelor’s in Marketing and/or Communications, or related field

5-10 years of related experience

Experience in marketing for power engineering companies, especially nuclear (federal and commercial) and oil and gas preferred

Experience in management of marketing activities in a global setting (advertising, publications, events

Experience in corporate communications project management

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly writing

Ability to manage multiple projects while working to tight deadlines

Possible travel required

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Excellent attention to detail

Management and focus skills, especially under tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent copywriting and editing skills with the ability to write for multiple audiences as well as strong grammar, spelling, composition, and proofreading abilities

Proven computer skills, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of page layout and design (e.g., InDesign) preferred

Experience developing and managing a project budget preferred


Key working relationships include:

Engineering, technical and administrative staff – internal clients

Communications staff in the region

Communications staff globally

Corporate Communications staff
