We are looking for Mechanical Engineers to join our Building Services team, based in London Euston.

When you join our Infrastructure division, you’ll get to see your ideas put into place on the design and engineering projects that keep the world turning. You’ll work with a growing team nationwide, who are all about making spaces and places work perfectly for people. Whether it’s an airport, transport interchange, university campus or the world’s first tidal lagoon, you’ll find that no project is too big or complex for us to handle.

Requirements

Minimum BEng or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related subject
Working towards with Membership of IET or CIBSE is desirable
Experience working in a design consultancy - experience of working within a contractor environment is additionally welcome
High level of technical skill in Mechanical Building Services is essential
Good level of computer literacy in Windows, Amtech, Relux, Dialux NES and Microsoft packages - an understanding of AutoCAD/Revit is beneficial
Wider knowledge of other disciplines is desirable
Able to see wider picture outside own discipline in projects
Able to understand and express technical concepts in written and verbal language
Able to innovate new solutions as well as applying existing solutions to problems
Be willing to be mobile, travel within the UK and abroad for project related work when required

Responsibilities

To undertake Mechanical Building Services design on UK and international projects with a good understanding of International standards
Preparation of design calculations on industry standard software
Preparation of technical specifications
Carrying out design calculations on a variety of buildings
Preparing drawings for drafting by our in-house CAD team
Report writing
Maintaining records and archives to company standards
Conducting design calculations, drawings and specifications on a variety of buildings within different sectors i.e. schools, hotels, offices, leisure facilities, MOD buildings, transportation buildings, airports etc
Site surveys and inspections
Ensure Mechanical design quality is maintained

Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 per annum
