Mechanical Engineer (MMUP Grade A), Qatar

Over the last 9 years we have successfully built up our Rail and Infrastructure work in Qatar.  We have been working on Rail projects in Qatar since 2009 and are now committing to work until 2019, expecting to extend until the World Cup in 2022.  We now have a need to strengthen our local Qatar Rail and Infrastructure team to meet these project requirements.
 
We are currently looking a Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience to work on projects based in Doha, Qatar.
 
This is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their international experience by working with a multidiscipline team of Building Services Engineers providing a comprehensive design service.




Responsibilities

  • Mechanical building services engineering (HVAC), from concept design through to construction issue.
  • Coordination with the design team to ensure integrated delivery of systems.
  • Carrying out HVAC design calculations on a variety of buildings within different sectors.
  • Experience of preparing technical specifications.
  • Experience of preparing drawings for drafting by our CAD team, and for ensuring that the drawings are produced on time and to the required quality.
  • Report writing.
  • Responsible for quality checking and implementation on own project work and that of others.

 





Qualifications and technical competences
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years Mechanical Engineering experience working on Rail/Infrastructure projects.
  • Registration with the local MMUP office in Qatar Grade A would be an advantage and those who have the registration will be reviewed initially.
  • Member of a professional engineering institution is an advantage.

Requirements

  • Significant experience of working in Mechanical Building Services Engineering and HVAC systems.  Knowledge of plumbing and public health would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Familiar with HVAC design requirements at a variety of design stages and across a number of different sectors.

Additional Information
