MEP Inspector

As a provider of multi-disciplined technical services to the built environment Atkins is committed to design excellence in the delivery of first-class solutions which combine, innovation, imagination and best practice.

We are looking for an MEP Inspector to review and approve contractor submittals, resolve technical issues arising and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
 

Technical Competencies

Essential

• Diploma qualified – as a minimum
• Minimum of 5 years experience of Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering.
• Must have integrity, be flexible and proactive.
• Must demonstrate ability to act independently as part of a team.

Desirable

• Understanding of British, American and International design standards

Behavioural Competencies

Essential

• Good communication skills in written and spoken English.
• Good team player, able to communicate effectively with colleagues

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspection of works in progress.
• Ensure contractor compliance with contract specifications and approved shop drawings.
• Assist Site Mechanical Engineer / Site Electrical Engineer with review of shop drawing and material submittals.
• Monitor and report contractor progress and all activities.
