Motion Graphics Designer

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Motion Graphics Designer to join our creative team based in Birmingham.


As a part of our in-house Creative Design team, which is based in 6 locations throughout the UK, you will have the opportunity to work with 57 film makers, designers and developers on exciting and challenging projects in a fast paced, progressive environment.  


The ideal candidate should possess an outstanding portfolio of motion design work, demonstrating creativity, ingenuity and a good eye for design. It’s essential that the candidate is innovative and is prepared to develop new skills and explore new technologies.

Responsibilities of the role

  • Collaborate within a team to develop briefs, storyboards, scripts and style frames.
  • Responsible to deliver high quality motion graphic content across a wide range of styles and platforms. Including 3D, 2.5D and 2D.
  • Communicate daily to project discussions and get involved with the wider team.
  • Contribute to the development of the business through innovation and working with other disciplines.



Requirements:
Essential -

  • Proven relevant creative industry experience in a post-production, animation or design environment.
  • An advanced understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud, with a focus on Adobe After Effects, Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • An advanced understanding of Cinema 4D, and the ability to demonstrate a workflow between Cinema 4D and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • A flair for visual storytelling and complex motion design techniques
  • Good IT skills with an understanding of excel, word, PowerPoint, or relevant compatible software

Desirable –
  • Experienced with After Effects expressions / scripting language
  • A focused interest in illustration, graphic design, digital design or interactive animation
  • Experience with 3rd party plug-ins / Scripts and pre-sets for After Effects & Cinema 4D
  • Experience with V-ray Render engine for Cinema 4D
  • Network rendering / Render farm experience
  • Project management, working with sites like Trello, TeamGantt for organising projects and pipeline
