Network Modeller

Our Networks & Drainage Engineering team is one of the largest in the UK with clients that include utility companies, local authorities, MOD and independent businesses. We are currently seeking a Senior Water Network Modeller to join our team based in Epsom.

The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience, must have a sound knowledge of clean water modelling packages. They should be cable to work at engineer level and to work to technical, programme and budget requirements.


Responsibilities:
  • Delivery of projects as part of a team as well as on individual assignments as required
  • Investigation and resolution of water infrastructure issues through the development of design solutions 
  • Interacting with Clients and other stakeholders during face to face meetings
  • Data analysis and anomaly identification
  • Technical report writing
  • Proactive commitment to Health and Safety
Education and Professional Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering (BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering)
  • Actively working towards membership of an appropriate professional institution (MICE and/or CIWEM)
Essential Criteria:
  • Functional experience with water modelling packages such as InfoWater, InfoWorks WS and SynerGEE
  • Using hydraulic models for planning and operational purposes
  • Working knowledge of GIS packages e.g. MapInfo and / or ArcGIS
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Eligible to work in the EU
Experience in any of the following areas would also be advantageous:
  • Working knowledge of macros
  • Coding experience
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Water Mains Rehabilitation
  • Management and coordination of field testing required for model validation and calibration
  • Experience in the design of solutions that improve water infrastructure systems
  • Leakage 

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
