North America Digital Asset Management Sales Leader

Atkins, one of the world's leading design and engineering consultancies, is aggressively growing its Digital capabilities and business, including Digital Asset Management (dAM).  Atkins dAM business is combining its deep engineering knowledge of assets, and its strong domain expertise in asset management, along with leading technology capabilities to help clients reduce costs control risks and improve whole life asset performance of critical infrastructure.




 

Role:

 

The NA Digital Asset Management Sales Leader will drive sales in North America for this business. The role will work with the North America business units of Atkins, as well as the Global dAM team at Atkins to develop a pipeline of services and technology based opportunities, and to sell these opportunities using competitive positioning and innovative strategies. Preferred offices are Atlanta, Orlando, Tampa, Denver or Austin. However, candidate can sit in any Atkins NA office.

 

The role will work in collaboration with and support of key account teams and industry teams in pre-sales and sales activities, and will coordinate technical support as part of the sales cycle.   Coordination of sales with matrixed regional sales, operations, and commercial teams in the P&Ls will be required.

 

This role will sell offerings across dAM domains, including:  Asset Investment Planning, Asset Performance Management, and Enterprise Asset Management – and will also work with related domains and technologies, such as:  BIM, GIS, IoT, decision support and analytics.  The role will be broad in terms of markets and offerings, but a focus will be put on roads (DOTs, etc) and government (local and Federal) from a market perspective, and Asset Investment Planning, decision support and analytics from a domain perspective.

 

The role will require extensive travel.

 

Key Deliverables/Responsibilities:

 

Develop a pipeline and forecast of sales/orders and margin for North America across the top accounts, and within focused markets.

 

Evaluate the competitive landscape and short/long term trends for each segment, and tailor offerings accordingly.

 

Forge relationships with Atkins key account managers, sales directors, and within key markets, including regulators and partners.

Execute the business strategy and be accountable for dAM sales metrics (new bookings and contract modifications) and pipeline growth.

Support the commercial and marketing strategies with regional commercial P&L to accelerate growth.


 

Lead collaboration between marketing, partners and product teams to develop differentiated solutions.

Define segment requirements, partner and product sourcing or development needs to support growth and expand coverage.

Support the team on potential regional investment / partnering activities to fill in gaps and broaden dAM portfolio.



Experience Required:


10 + years’ selling and/or delivering technology based asset management services and solutions for large infrastructure clients

At least 5 year of sales experience, with a proven track record selling dAM offerings with significant customer exposure at executive level

Ability to work in cross-functional teams in a heavily matrixed corporate environment.

Demonstrated leadership and success in creating a sales strategy and driving rapid implementation.

Strong negotiation, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust.


Industry experience in Operations, Capital Project Management or EPC and digital technology.
