Nuclear Project Development Engineer

-The work involves defining the project scope of work with the detail needed for the estimator to develop a Class 5 estimate.

-This includes documenting the project background, scope of work, risks, and other information in a technical project scoping document.

-For projects not started, it also involves developing and documenting a solution plan for the issue/concern in a technical project scoping document, and may involve developing alternative solutions. The end product is a written package with a detailed solution plan that can be estimated for long range planning. This is a contracted staff position. Expected hours worked are 50 hours/week.

-This position requires 10 years of nuclear experience including a minimum of 3 years in the Nuclear Operations Shift Manager or Shift Technical Advisor (STA) position.

-Nuclear experience may include:

Nuclear Operations Manager, Shift Manager, Engineering Manager, STA or equivalent seasoned Nuclear Manager, but should have held the Shift Manager or STA role for at least two outages or fuel cycles.

-Required skills include demonstrated teamwork, strong communication and interpersonal skills, strong technical writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
