Atkins is looking for an experienced Office Manager to join our Aerospace, Defence, Security & Technology (ADS&T) business based in our Cheltenham office.

The business is a technical consultancy providing advice and engineering expertise to public, regulated and private sector clients.

The position is varied and interesting, working as part of a team who provide multidisciplinary support to complex projects both in the UK and in support of our other businesses overseas.

This role is full-time and the hours required are 37.5 hours over 5 days per week.



REQUIREMENTS

Essential Criteria

• At least one-year experience of office management.

• Previous experience of supervising staff

• Ability to work in a busy, professional office environment providing administrative support

• Self-sufficient/ability to work independent from instruction with a proactive approach

• Accurate record keeper, systems and process driven

• Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel and Outlook

• Vibrant and keen team player

• Educated to GCSE level including Maths & English

RESPONSIBILITIES

Office Coordination

• Manage the reception team ensuring cover from 0800 - 1800.

• Responsible for IT equipment and space planning.

• Conduct inductions for new starters and leavers exit process for the business.

• Liaise with suppliers and manage corporate credit card purchases. Investigate IS billing.

• Manage Facilities Management issues and parking requirements

• Responsible for all aspects of Office Safety and security.

Supervisor Responsibilities

• Monitor administrative staff workloads and performance.

• Ensure admin tasks are executed efficiently and effectively.

• Undertake recruitment and training of administrative staff as required.

Other

• Be a representative at various meetings and forums (such as tenant groups)

• Ensure relevant information is forwarded to staff.

• Assist with audits and maintain records.

 

This role may require security clearance and offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary it will be discussed with you at interview.
