We are currently looking for a Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management professional to manage the service line, support the growth of our Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management pipeline and manage the delivery of strategic Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management initiatives across the GCC and Egypt as an initial target market. In the short-run, for the next 2 years, the mandate is expected to grow to cover East Africa and South East Asia. The role will be based in the MENA region, and the successful candidate will be reporting to the Associate Directors and/or Directors of Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management service line.

Business Responsibilities:
  • Manage a pipeline of Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management opportunities
  • Define Job descriptions, recruit & manage a team of Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management and management consultancy professionals
  • Supervise the performance of reporting staff, providing clear direction and regular monitoring, while giving feedback and constructive criticism
  • Manage the delivery of Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management projects
  • Accurately assess required level of effort for a task/project based on experience and manage, prioritise and plan what activities/tasks need to be completed in order to meet objectives
  • Assist in the development of tools, processes and systems to support the delivery of Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management projects
Technical Responsibilities:
  • Responsibilities below shall be undertaken within Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management function of the client’s organisation.
  • Due diligence studies on client’s organisation, systems  and processes in an effort to seek improvements and eliminate waste
  • Quality assessments, audits and enhancements to existing systems, processes and procedures
  • Manage the change & transition design from current state organisation structures to the newly designed or newly established organisation structures
  • Educate client personnel on bespoke training programmes that equip them with the required skillset to achieve their respective Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management function goals
  • Assume full accountability for managing organisation design projects particularly for Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management offices and functions
  • Handling the delivery of new entities mandated to oversee and manage the delivery of major infrastructure projects and programmes
  • Manage the execution of the technology vision, goals, and initiatives that support the long term objectives and mission of the Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management function
  • Manage the processes & procedures change, and train & guide teams on processes & procedures improvements
  • Manage the development and implementation of programme implementation plan and programme management information system
  • Monitoring, measuring and providing feedback on processes & procedures performances
  • Processes & Procedures value stream mapping
  • Manage the integration of multiple information technology systems, to achieve a holistic technological solution

Basic & Technical Competencies:
  • Shall be qualified with a degree (preferably Business Management or Civil Engineering )
  • A Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management in a management consultancy / advisory services capacity
  • Experience in working for global strategy houses or international management consultancies
  • The Candidate must possess excellent working knowledge of project management best practices. Computer literacy and excellent communication skills in English are essential. (Arabic preferred)
  • Strong ability to manage work teams as a team leader
  • Demonstrates competent understanding of assignments and manages the delivery and accomplishment of work tasks independently
  • Commercial and financial acumen related to project budgeting and cost estimation
  • Strong data management and detail oriented
  • Knowledge and experience in the following: 
  • Managing a Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management Office
  • Maturity modelling, KPIs, stage gating, reporting templates, and PMO audit programme development
  • Managing issue and change management frameworks, processes and procedures
  • Portfolio / Programme & Asset Management Framework & Process management
