Join our Design & Advanced Technology (D&AT) practice and lead UK and International projects in Reservoirs and Hydraulic Structures. Collaborate with can-do, multidisciplinary teams, managing and developing reservoir portfolios, planning, designing and enabling works that keep communities safe and sustainable. Our team has designed high-profile, award-winning projects such as the proposed Havant Thicket Winter Storage Reservoir. You'll work closely with prominent private and public sector clients from multiple water companies to the Environment Agency, consultants and contractors.

Purpose:
- Leading the successful delivery of tasks and projects from inception to handover, meeting quality, time and budget requirements.
- Overseeing dams and reservoirs activities for key local clients, maintaining and expanding a portfolio of strong relationships leading to new and repeat business.
- Generating successful proposals that meet client needs, leading to technically and commercially successful work.
- Leading in developing our service lines and technical capability, delivering business development targets.
- Inspiring and mentoring colleagues in developing their technical knowledge and understanding.
What can you bring?
Appointed as Supervising Engineer under the Reservoirs Act 1975 or at an advanced stage in progressing towards the review for appointment.
- Chartered Engineer with an established industry profile in dam and reservoir engineering with the ability to oversee the work of others and achieve right-first-time results.
- Strong technical experience in hydraulic and/or geotechnical engineering as applied to managing and designing dams and reservoirs and their associated hydraulic structures, with knowledge of relevant codes, standards and guidance documents, and an appreciation of current developments.
- Track record of leading the delivery of successful projects and the ability to develop winning tenders.
- Excellent, client-focused writing skills.
- Ability to identify and employ innovation and leading-edge technologies to meet client needs.
- Willingness to travel on short assignments both within the UK and overseas. Experience of successful international working and work winning would be an advantage.

- Customer focused and a good level of relationship management skills.
