Procurement Support Specialist

-Prepares evaluation of contractors’ capabilities and Requests for Proposals

-Evaluates facts surrounding problem areas, enlists the advice and assistance of others, determines the most appropriate remedial actions, and implements corrective actions through available means

-Assists in contacting contractors for clarifications

-Assist in the preparation of contracts

-Working with the Procurement Manager on identifying specific needs

-Utilize schedules to meet bid negotiation milestones

-Update the procurement status on a weekly basis and provide weekly updates to senior leadership

Minimum Requirements

-Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Construction Management or Supply Chain Management or equivalency in experience  -1 year of relevant work experience

-Must be highly ethical and strong value-based individual focused on fairness and maintaining confidentiality     

-The successful candidate will have a “sense of urgency” to issue resolution

-Excellent analytical, written and oral communications skills that can interact with diverse groups across organizational levels.     

-Familiarity with business practices and market conditions

-Working knowledge of PC software packages (Word, Excel, Adobe Professional and Power Point) typically associated with procurement
