Our London office is looking to recruit a new Programme Management Lead to join our dynamic and talented team. The successful candidate will be charged with supporting the business to drive forward our programme management service offering and take a key role in delivering programme management services to our clients. The role will also include taking responsibility for planning, implementing and executing high scale programmes or portfolio of works that are complex in nature within the property market.

The Programme Management Lead should also have clear experience of managing and running programme management offices (PMO's) either regionally, nationally or on a global basis.


Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and developing our procedures for programme management to ensure we have best in class systems
  • Providing full, efficient and effective services in all technical and contractual aspects of professional practice.
  • Keeping abreast of relevant legislative changes, industry issues and developments in best practice.
  • Positively contributing to and participating in internal/external training initiatives.
  • Applying the principles of quality assurance and environmental management in compliance with the company's Policies.
  • Acting as account manager for key clients, providing service delivery, demonstrating your role as a key stakeholder/mediator and first point of contact.
  • Playing an instrumental role in generating repeat business, winning new work and developing new market opportunities in line with the business strategy
  • Ensuring the profitable management of commercial aspects of commissions and/or projects including governance, fee management activities together with internal job costings, planning and organising workload/resource requirements and inter-trading.
  • Managing and leading people to enable a strongly motivated, engaged and high performing team
  • Contributing to recruitment of high performing and professional individuals


  • Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent recognised institutional body in line with Programme Management.
  • Understanding of business case development and implementation.
  • Experience of risk register management, mitigation, programme reporting and stakeholder mapping
  • Fluency with the different procurement methods available in the industry.
  • High standard of proficiency in oral and written communication as well as excellent interpersonal and client facing skills
  • Ability to win repeat work but also to develop relationships with new clients to successfully achieve new business.
  • Possess a network of contacts and build up a number of key relationships in your specialist sector.
  • Demonstrate an ability to effectively financially manage a team delivering a programme or portfolio of works.
  • Significant experience of managing team(s) on major/complex commissions or programmes, or for major client(s), including maximising performance.
  • Confidence in coaching and leading people, including confidently dealing with performance related issues.
  • Good understanding of Faithful+Gould business strategy, the wider organisation; and of market competition.
